Joe Biden’s visit to Dallas

Joe Biden’s working trip to Dallas in March 2024 was part of his election campaign. As a Democratic presidential candidate, he needs to make every effort to overtake his Republican opponent, Donald Trump. That’s why several of the days the president spent in Texas were spent fundraising at private events. Read more on dallas-yes.

Who was waiting for the president in Dallas?

On March 20, 2024, the plane with the American president on board landed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Prior to that, Joe Biden visited Dallas in January 2023. The reason for the trip was the death of one of the representatives of the Democratic Party, U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.

This time, the president’s working trip was part of his election program. In Dallas-Fort Worth, representatives of the city authorities were already waiting for him: Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, attorneys Russell Budd and Regina Montoya.

All of them accompanied the president during two private events they organized in honor of his visit, which were intended to raise funds for his campaign. During the previous campaign in 2019, Russell Budd had already fundraised for J. Biden’s candidacy.

Famous Dallas businessman Kneeland Youngblood joined the preparation of the second meeting, where funds were also raised to finance public projects in the city. On his initiative, a collection was launched to implement an agreement to open a computer chip production facility.

Although J. Biden did not make any public appearances during his time in Dallas, he managed to inform the media about the decision to provide almost $8 billion to finance the project.

Protests by anti-Israeli activists

It’s no exaggeration to say that anti-Israeli activists were the ones who were most eagerly awaiting Joe Biden in Dallas. When they found out where the president’s plane would land during his visit, they arranged a rather loud “meeting” for him.

The protests were organized by activists of the Palestinian Youth Movement. They gathered dozens of like-minded people to show the whole world their attitude to J. Biden’s policy. In their opinion, while the president is raising funds at private meetings, more than a million Palestinians in Gaza are on the verge of life and death. The participants of the event called for a ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization.

From the airport to the hotel, the presidential motorcade was accompanied by shouts of anti-Israeli activists. To hide their identities, most of them wore wide black clothes and face masks. They shouted abusive words at Joe Biden, beat on pots, rang bells and sang. The protesters threatened that if the president did not comment on their actions, they would be forced to refuse to vote for him in the upcoming elections. The president was not left alone the next day.

Gathering at 7 a.m. outside a Dallas hotel, the activists raised a real ruckus. They shouted that they would not leave until justice was served.

To further show that they were determined, activists of the Palestinian Youth Movement printed ballots with a red color to reject all candidates. In addition, some of their posters featured an image of the president with the caption “Genocide Joe”.

The column of protesters did not disperse even when Biden was leaving Dallas. On the contrary, they stood so that the president’s motorcade could not pass them on the way to the airport.

The biggest disappointment of the activists was the fact that J. Biden never paid attention to them and did not give a speech.
